“Success is a journey, not a destination. The doing is often more important than the outcome.” – Arthur Ashe
If there were two paths in front of you: one rocky, overgrown, and barely visible, the other smooth, clear, and stretched as far as the eye could see, which one would you choose?
No one wants to live a difficult life, but what if we chose to not only accept but embrace the difficulties in our lives? What if instead of shying away from troubles in fear, we realized that life never goes as planned and confronted the problem? Throughout my life I've seen the only way for me to grow as a person, the only way to develop my worth, was to stop trying to skip to the destination. The journey is so important. From the pain I acquired power. Through the failures I found strength. Out of the tears I discovered joy. Looking back, if I had the choice to skip from the starting line to mile five, I would have chose to keep walking. When we focus on the goal alone, we miss all the beautiful lessons we're taught on the way. Through the journey we're taught lessons that we would've never learnt otherwise.
Make the journey by taking each day step by step.
Realize that embracing the journey will bring you peace through the difficult times.
