I love words. Therefore I love anything made up of words. Specifically quotes. On one hand they make me realize how much I lack eloquence, but on the other hand they inspire me, not only to choose my words more carefully, but to live my life in a way that expresses who I am. Not bending to someone else’s will or values, but staying true to my own.
These are five quotes that have solidified the above idea in my mind.
“Ultimately man should not ask what the meaning of life is, but rather must recognize that it is he who is asked. In a word, each man is questioned by life; and he can only answer to life by answering for his own life; to life he can only respond by being responsible.”
-Viktor E. Frankl
“It is more noble to give yourself completely to one individual than to labor diligently or the salvation of the masses.”
“Success is a state of mind. If you want success start thinking of yourself as success.”
-Dr. Joyce Brothers
“Appreciate where you are in your journey even if it’s not where you want to be. Every single season has a purpose.”
“Do not take the path of least resistance. It will only lead you down a perilous path of disappointment and despair.”
What are you choosing to live by? How are you expressing who you are?
